Beepoint honey has won twice at the Bedfordshire Beekeepers' Association Annual Honey Show 2024
We're delighted to announce that our home-produced 'Beepoint' honey has won prizes at the Annual Honey Show 2024 held by Bedfordshire Beekeepers Association at Marston Vale Forest Centre on September 22nd.
First prize was awarded to Brewpoint’s Beekeeper, Louise Wells, in the Novice Honey category and third prize was awarded in the Light Honey category. This success builds on three years of beekeeping at Brewpoint, with the apiary, Beepoint, now home to four hives and smaller colonies rescued by swarm collectors in Bedford.
'‘We are thrilled that Brewpoint Honey continues to win awards at this very prestigious annual event", says Louise. "The wet weather at the start of the season was challenging for our bees and I thought honey supplies would be low this year. Fortunately, the arrival of some weeks of hot, dry weather provided great conditions for the bees to forage and build their honey stores resulting in a great supply of delicious honey in late August."
Customers can purchase this golden treasure in our shop now - don't delay if you're keen to pick up a jar, as supplies are limited. In celebration, we'll also be showcasing a new seasonal honey beer in Brewpoint’s Taproom - available from October 4th until the kegs run dry!
